Future Space Pioneers Academy is thrilled to launch our brand-new interactive, browser-based CubeSat Simulator! Accessible right now at simulator.futurespacepioneers.com, this web tool gives students hands-on experience managing rotational forces and satellite attitude control directly from their web browsers.
Whether you are stabilizing a wild spin or orienting solar panels toward the Sun, this tool brings real-world orbital mechanics to life.
This educational tool was developed by our volunteer software engineer, Martรญn Mengo, based in Buenos Aires. Martรญn designed the application to help students understand how satellites react to rotational forces in the vacuum of space, bridging theoretical physics and aerospace engineering with direct interaction.

Built-In Challenges: Manual vs. Automated De-Tumbling
Managing a spacecraft in microgravity is no easy task. The simulator features dynamic challenges designed to test students’ precision and problem-solving skills:
- The Manual Spin Challenge: Kick the CubeSat into an uncontrolled spin using the “Kick the CubeSat!” feature. Students must manually manipulate thrusters or torque controls across all three axes (X, Y, and Z) to stabilize the satellite and point key instruments toward Earth or the Sun. Balancing three rotational axes simultaneously is an intense test of spatial awareness!
- Automated Control Testing: Compare human reaction times against automated flight software. Students can enable automatic de-tumbling routines for individual axes or activate full automated stabilization to observe how flight computers restore equilibrium efficiently.
Key Features at a Glance
- Real-Time Gyroscope Readouts: Monitor exact rotational rates (in deg/s) across X, Y, and Z axis.
- Orbital Telemetry: Track altitude, orbital velocity, inclination angle, and total energy consumption.
- Interactive Attitude Controls: Switch between manual keyboard inputs and full automatic detumbling loops.
